Ashley Kennedy is the co-founder of Fulkerson Kennedy & Company (FK&Co) a Washington, DC-based firm that specializes in fundraising and political advising for Members of Congress and their leadership PAC operations, non-profit organizations, corporations, associations, and individuals.
Since FK&Co’s launch over 10 years ago, Ashley has cultivated donor networks and fundraising strategy for some of the most competitive and expensive races in the country, including the campaigns of U.S. Senators Claire McCaskill (D-MO), Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), Evan Bayh (D-IN), Gary Peters (D-MI), and Joe Manchin (D-WV). During the 2016 cycle, Ashley was an advisor to U.S. Senate candidate Jason Kander (D-MO) and helped build a national fundraising network which outraised his incumbent opponent in the final months of the campaign. During the 2014 cycle, Ashley led the national fundraising operation for the re-election of U.S. Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC) in what was the most expensive Senate race in history. In addition to political campaigns, Ashley advises corporate and nonprofit clients, ranging from Fortune 100 companies to charities on strategic giving and special events planning, including gala and fundraising events.
Prior to co-founding FK&Co, Ashley led the national finance operations and fundraising strategy for U.S. Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC) in 2008 and was the finance director for U.S. Senator Jim Webb (D-VA) in 2006 – both candidates who had never previously run for statewide or federal office, but who were ultimately able to competitively fundraise and unseat incumbent Republicans.
A native of Charleston, West Virginia and graduate of the University of Richmond, Ashley began her career working in the Washington, D.C. offices of Senator Robert Byrd and Senator Jay Rockefeller. Ashley lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and their three children.
